Study on the Expression Methods to Communicate the Emotions in Messaging Application

In this study, we examined the relationship between “expression means” and techniques” associated with texts in screen designs of messaging applications emotional communication. First, extracted six types emotion to be communicated, four expression means, techniques for each means. After that, emotion, eight different design samples were created, a questionnaire survey was conducted 30 university students as subjects regarding degree transmission emotions. As result analysis, it found that although specific means differed they generally effective such “the movement speech balloon text”.
